As a real estate attorney and licensed associate real estate broker, Christopher Marney brings a no-nonsense approach to the purchase and sale of real estate. He prides himself in honest, straightforward and open communication with clients regarding real estate – devoid of unnecessary sales tactics. Chris has over a decade of experience in property management, real estate, land use & zoning matters, hospitality, historic preservation, and historic rehabilitation tax credits. He brings this experience to assist clients in their purchase of residential and commercial real estate in the Capital District, lake and second home market.
Chris is also a lifelong devotee to celebrating and preserving historic homes, properties and estates. His expertise in these properties is an immeasurable asset to buyers and sellers of historic properties throughout the Adirondacks and Capital Region.
A native of the North Country, Chris calls the Capital Region home and spends his summers at Lake George. Chris is a resident of the Stockade Historic District in Schenectady where he serves on the Stockade Association board of directors. He is also past vice-chair of the Schenectady Historic District Commission. In his free time, Chris can be found on Lake George with family, friends and his adorable goldendoodles, or working on restoring his 18th-century townhouse (@SchenectadyRestorationProject).
