This Summer’s Capital Region and North Country Farmers’ Markets

One of the many wonderful parts of upstate New York summers is access to area farmers’ markets and produce stands! As the weather warms up, markets head back outside with their fresh fruits and vegetables, cut flowers and herbs, and handmade breads, cheeses, and more! Looking for a local farmers’ market to visit this summer? Take a peek at the list below!

Capital Region

Ballston Spa Farmers’ Market – Opening on June 10th, Ballston Spa has its farmers’ market on both Saturdays and Thursdays in Wiswall Park. Saturdays will be open from 9am to 1pm and Thursdays will be from 3pm to 6pm.

Fort Edward Canal Street Marketplace Farmers’ Market – Held at 63 Canal Street, visit this market starting on June 1st. It will be open from 4pm to 7pm every Thursday.

Fort Edward Farmers’ Market – Another market in Fort Edward, this one is located at 359 Broadway Route 4, Broadway Lanes. It opens July 7th and is on Fridays from 10am to 1pm.

Gansevoort Farmers’ Market – The market in Gansevoort opens on June 20th and is held at the Village Park on Catherine Street. It will be open from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesdays and 10am to 1pm on Fridays.

Glens Falls Farmers’ Market – Opened May 6th, the market in Glens Falls is held at the South Street Market Pavilion. Make sure to stop by on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.

Halfmoon Farmers’ Market – This year-round market is held at 2 Halfmoon Town Plaza. Visit Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm.

High Rock Farmers’ Market – This Saratoga farmers’ market is held both on Saturdays and Wednesdays starting in May. It is located at 112 High Rock Avenue and can be visited from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and 3pm to 6pm on Wednesdays.

Schenectady City Hall Farmers’ Market – Located at 105 Jay Street, City Hall, this market in Schenectady opened May 4th! It is open on Thursdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Spa City Farmers’ Market – Held at 65 South Broadway, the Lincoln Bath House Building at Saratoga Spa State Park, this market is year-round and held on Sundays from 10am to 2pm.

North Country

Chestertown Farmers’ Market – Stop by 6307 Route 9 to see the market in Chestertown! Starting June 14th, this market will be open on Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm.

Speculator Farmers’ Market and Crafters’ Market – Opening June 22nd, the Speculator farmers’ market is located at the Village Pavilion on Route 30. They will be open Thursdays from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Ticonderoga Area Farmers’ Market – Located on Champlain Ave and McMormick Street, Ticonderoga’s farmers’ market opens July 8th. Make sure to visit on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm!

Village of Lake George Farmers & Artisan Market – Opening June 7th on Canada Street, Shepard Park, come visit this market from 10am to 3pm on Wednesdays!

Warrensburg Riverfront Farmers’ Market – Starting June 2nd is the market in Warrensburg. This market will be on Fridays from 3pm to 6pm at 173 River Street.
