Adirondack Balloon Festival
The Adirondack Balloon Festival takes place in Queensbury, New York, at the airfield. With balloon rides, balloon flights, and craft and food vendors, this festival is fun for the whole family. The festival is scheduled each year after Labor Day, as the fall color begins to emerge in the area. As an iconic event just outside the Adirondacks, it’s a weekend you won’t want to miss!
Saratoga Giant Pumpkinfest
Ever wonder how big a pumpkin can grow? Check out the Saratoga Giant Pumpkinfest to find out! Located at the Saratoga Springs City Center, this family event is not only lots of fun, it’s also free to the public! There is also food vendors, if your family gets hungry viewing these monster pumpkins, squash, gourds, tomatoes, and watermelon as they weigh in.
Saratoga Showcase of Homes
This year’s Saratoga Showcase of Homes marks the 25th year of this event. Each fall, a selection of the best and most beautiful homes are open for a self-guided tour. You and your family can cast your votes for the homes you like best as you tour the properties over two weekends. Julie & Co. Annual Great Pumpkin Challenge
While this year’s Great Pumpkin Challenge is virtual, it is still hosting a 5K and 10K to benefit the programs at Saratoga Bridges. They even have a category for “Most Family Team Participants,” so if your family likes to lace up their sneakers and go for a run, walk, or ride, this event is for you!
Double M Haunted Hayrides
Does your family have nerves of steel? Come check out the Double M Haunted Hayride! After 30 years, this yearly attraction has got scary hayrides down to a blood-curdling science! With a tractor-drawn hayride and a haunted house, this attraction is a great Halloween event for those in your family over 12 years old.
Haunted Corn Maze at Schuyler Farms
If a haunted corn maze is more your style, visit Schuyler Farms. This farm also hosts a Fall Festival, pumpkin patch hayrides, and more. Located in Schuylerville, this is the perfect place to visit for all sorts of outdoor fall activities.
Leaf Peeping in Saratoga Springs
