Family owned and operated since 1942, Bob’s Trees is more than just a Christmas tree farm. Families can enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon ride through its 100 acres of Christmas tree fields to cut down their tree or choose a pre-cut one. Varieties include Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, and Blue Spruce. It also offers a wealth of handmade pine products in its gift shop including garland, kissing balls, and wreaths. Bob’s Trees also boasts several events throughout the holiday season. Kids can meet Santa, see Santa’s reindeer, and even write a letter to Santa in case they miss the big man in person.

Ellms’ Family Farm is a staple in the Saratoga area for fall activities and its Christmas Tree Farm is just as impressive. You’re greeted on the way in and given a map and price list of its trees, which includes Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Concolor Fir, and Blue Spruce. Trees are available in both pre-cut or cut your own. If you do choose to cut your own, be sure to hop on board the trolley to the fields. After you’ve picked out the perfect tree, you can head on into the café for a bite to eat or entertain yourself with the new chicken carolers. Yes, you read that correctly. They have chicken carolers. You also get complimentary hot cocoa with the purchase of every tree or wreath so make sure to grab a cup before you go!
Goderie’s Tree Farm, Open Monday-Saturday 8am – 8pm & Sunday 8am – 6pm

In business since 1970, Goderie’s Tree Farm offers hundreds of pre-cut trees in a large assortment of sizes, with fresh cut trees brought in daily. On weekends you can also cut your own tree. Varieties include Balsam Fir, Fraser Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, and White Spruce. If you’re looking for more than just a tree, then you’re in luck. Goderie’s Tree Farm also has wreaths, kissing balls, sprays, garland, and bundles of bough along with crafts from local artisans.

This small, family-owned Christmas tree farm is located right at the top of a hill on Middleline Road in Ballston Spa. Thankfully, Holland Hill is a pet-friendly farm just so long as your furry friend is on a leash. It offers pre-cut and cut your own trees in a variety of types. After you’ve trudged through the snow looking for your tree, head on into the small gift shop. You’ll enjoy warming up by the by a stovepipe fireplace with some free hot cider and cookies. Don’t forget to see its selection of wreaths before you go too. All are handmade and located right outside the gift shop.
River Bend Christmas Tree Farm, Open Weekends 9am – 4pm

Since 1967 River Bend Christmas Tree Farm has served families looking for Christmas trees in the Lake George, Glens Falls, and Saratoga area. It offers pre-cut and cut your own trees in Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Concolor Fir, and Scotch Pine. Feel free to bring your leashed dog with you too as you look for your picture-perfect Christmas tree. River Bend Christmas Tree Farm is another farm that offers more than just trees. It has fresh Christmas wreaths, kissing balls, and made to order garland. In recent years, it’s also expanded to making its own maple syrup so be sure to pick up a bottle on your way out!
